In addition to fresh foodstuffs this is what we would typically buy for our store cupboard for stays of varying lengths (it’s cumulative, so the 1 month list includes all the things on the 2 week list). We carry a small amount of salt and pepper.

Peanut butter (for making satay)

Tomato ketchup

Baking soda (for cleaning)

So if all else fails and all the shops close (as happened to us in Kathmandu!) we can still have a Spanish omelette and salad.
